John Gerlach enjoys programming, 3D printing, tinkering with electronics, welding, cooking, reading and playing piano. In 2019 he earned his Eagle Scout Award. He is a regular participant at the Connecticut Science and Engineering Fair, most recently creating a novel e-cigarette detector powered by Arduino and Wolfram Language.
