User Portlet

I am now retired after working for 50 years in the computer industry designing, programming and implementing computer software systems. I have a B. Sc. Hons. degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. I have had an interest in A New Kind Of Science for nearly 15 years. I am currently carrying out some research on one dimensional 4-color totalistic cellular automata.

I live with my wife and son in the beautiful County of Derbyshire, England. I still play tennis at my local club and occasionally play for one of the teams in the local league. I am an active member of the Derbyshire over-65 veteran tennis team. I also play correspondence chess with a friend in Southampton, having previously played competitive chess for Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
