User Portlet

My previos career was as a business programmer which started out doing real COBOL programming and ended maintaining a software package and occasionally using Perl to do maintanence. I'm now looking for a way to interest high school students in math using a combination of geometry, complex numbers , vectors and programming. I'm also beginning to explore the maker world using the Arduino microcontroller. My newest insight is that the maker revolution and open-source software and hardware will bring about the end of the pursuit of profit. It will be replaced by a genuine desire to contribute to the advancement of humanity. The rich ones will be those with the most to contribute to this ultimate goal.
