Michael Sollami spends much of his time studying the intersection of pure mathematics and computational systems. After graduating from Trinity College in 2006, Michael headed the quantitative department at the global hedge fund Warisan Capital, where he lead the financial engineering team in building custom c++ based portfolio optimization platforms.
Michael eventually returned to academics and he graduated in 2008 with an MS in pure mathematics and went on to work at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. As a doctoral candidate Michael completed a PhD in theoretical computer science and graph theory, and then from 2010-2013 he worked in the Wolfram Research special projects and advanced research group on technologies such as Wolfram|Alpha and Mathematica.
Michael left the Wolfram Research to join the founding team of Mustbin Inc, a Boston based iOS startup, as senior software engineer in the R&D department. At Mustbin we are working on an app that will be rather awesome, but that I can say nothing about, very stealthy stuff!
