Muskaan Shahzad is a recent graduate of Houston Community College, where she earned a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. As part of the first cohort in the country to receive a Bachelor's degree in AI from a community college, she represents a new chapter in advancing equity and access in emerging technologies. With an academic foundation in pre-medical studies and psychology, Muskaan is passionate about leveraging AI to drive innovation in healthcare and marketing. She served as President of the Computer Science Association at HCC, leading hands-on workshops, student-led hackathons, and community-focused tech events. She was also selected as the MC for HCC’s 2025 Annual AI Conference and was honored as the Commencement Speaker for the Spring 2025 graduation. Muskaan is a member of the AI Leadership Council at BoodleBox, a JP Morgan Scholar, a WiCyS Houston Affiliate mentee, and the proud recipient of the Country Award at Intel’s 2023 AI Global Impact Festival. Her research journey includes internships with NASA’s MUREP program and the National Science Foundation, where she contributed to forward-thinking projects at the intersection of technology and education. Beyond her academic and leadership roles, Muskaan has been featured by Houston Landing, New America, Innovation Map, and on multiple panels and podcasts discussing the future of AI, education, and innovation. Her mission is simple: to use AI to empower communities and create solutions that leave a lasting impact.
