Omid Mozafar is currently perusing a PhD degree in physics under the supervision of Prof. Robert W. Boyd (University of Ottawa, Canada). He also holds a MSc degree in applied mathematics (University of Western Ontario, Canada) and a BSc degree in engineering physics (University of Tehran, Iran). His main research interests include nonlinear light propagation and nonequilibrium material evolution. In particular, he is passionate about developing mathematical models and/or physical theories to guide understanding to physical behaviors. Omid Mozafar, in his spare time, loves watching movies, hiking in nature, and spending time with friends and family.
