Ivy Liu is particularly interested in math and technology, teaching middle and elementary classes in these fields at her local tech center (probability and web development). She has competed and placed at regional/state level math tournaments and captained her middle school math team (go Uncooked Brownies!), finding it an intense but enjoyable experience. She has recently begun to go on the path towards science, a novice in circuitry and robotics, and plans to be a co-founder of her school's Maker Club. Along with STEM, she does Congressional Debate, dance, and piano. Her favorite STEM series is the Three Body Problem by Liu Cixin.
