Ritvik is a high school student from New Jersey who is passionate about robotics and computer science. As captain of his school’s FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics team, he has been developing his interests in control theory, computer vision, and machining. Ritvik has applied his programming skills in impactful AI/ML based research focused on the automation of early-stage cancer diagnosis from biopsy images. He has participated in several hackathons, including PennApps, a collegiate hackathon where he placed in the Top 20 and won the Wolfram Award. He is also an organizer of his school’s student-run hackathon, which is an official event on the Major League Hacking calendar. As the leader of his school’s computer club, Ritvik developed a security kiosk system that is used by students in his school every day. He volunteers at local FLL and FTC events, and mentors at a robotics camp for underserved students in his home county in New Jersey. Ritvik also founded the Garden State Alliance, a community of FTC student participants in New Jersey. In his free time, he enjoys writing his blog, making digital music with FL Studio, and playing videogames with his friends.
