I'm a Professor (Emeritus) in the Physics Department at Penn State University. I obtained my Ph. D. in 1981 (University of Minnesota), and had two postdoctoral appointments (University of Wisconsin, Madison and University of Massachusetts, Amherst) before joining the Physics faculty at Penn State in 1986. I became a full professor in 2000 and acted as Interim Associate Dean of the Eberly College of Science twice, as well as being Associate Department Head for Undergraduate and Graduate Studies, until my retirement in 2023. I've published 129 papers on topics ranging from elementary particle theory and phenomenology, the pedagogy and visualization of quantum mechanics, and mathematical physics. I've published two textbooks with Oxford University Press, two editions of an undergraduate book on quantum mechanics (1996 and 2006), and more recently a work titled ``Dimensional Analysis Across the Landscape of Physics: Classic Results, Textbook Examples, and Exploration of Research" which appeared in late 2024. I was elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS) in 2003.
