ABOUT ME:

I am a theoretical physicist currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Freie Universität Berlin, following my previous research tenure in Pisa. My work sits at the intersection of quantum information theory, many-body physics, and computational complexity, with a primary focus on identifying the precise boundaries between classical and quantum computation. I am particularly interested in the study of non-stabilizerness, often referred to as "quantum magic," where I develop mathematical frameworks to quantify the non-classical resources necessary for universal quantum computing. Beyond magic, my research areas include the dynamics of entanglement in random quantum circuits, the trainability of variational quantum algorithms, and the characterization of computational phases of matter. By exploring these areas, I aim to provide deeper insights into the fundamental properties that make quantum systems powerful and inherently difficult to simulate classically.
