ABOUT ME:

I am a retiree from TSMC, foundry company (10 years) and from IBM (~25 years). My main expertise is in CMOS memory, microproessor, and standard cell circuit design, having worked on these areas nearly 35 years. I retired from TSMC as a director of exploratory circuit design including stanard cells. I was an IBM distinguished engineer before my retirement from IBM.

I am now a life-time IEEE fellow, having elected to IEEE fellow in 2001 for the contribution to memory and microprocessor designAfter retiring in 2019, last few yearsI have not done much technical work. Last few months, I started reading some introductory books on quantum computing and program language, Python, manily from my curiosity.

I have my Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering with two minors in computer science and physics, with my thesis on Josephson Analog-to-digital converter. My undergraduate is from the Korea University in Electronic Engineering, BSEE.
