Stan Wagon is a Canadian-American mathematician, a professor of mathematics at Macalester College in Minnesota. He is the author of multiple books on number theory, geometry, and computational mathematics, and is also known for his snow sculpture. Professor Wagon’s current work centers around the use of computers to increase our understanding of both concrete and abstract mathematics. In particular, he has made extensive use of Mathematica to develop new ideas in both teaching and research. Other interests include ultramarathoning, ski mountaineering, rock climbing, and Nordic ski racing. Stan is also an author at the Wolfram Demonstrations Project.
