Avoid Interpretation failure on Documentation examples?

Hi. I am getting errors using the Interpreter command - on many of the examples in the documentation. For example, 

Interpreter["Date"]["June 23, 1988"]

Message: No date interpretation found. Try again

Tag: InterpretationFailure

I am running 10.2

Does anyone know what may be causing this?

same syntax works on 11.1.1 MacOSX (evaluates to a DateObject)
