Get APIs to trade stocks?

Posted 7 years ago

Does Mathematica offer any APIs that can be used to submit and execute trades on stock market? If the core Mathematica product can't do it, are there any packages enabling an execution of trading transactions from Mathematica? Thanks - Larry

There is the MATH-TWS package by Jonathan Kinlay which connects Mathematica and IB's TWS trading system and which was described in the Wolfram Community site at https://community.wolfram.com/groups/-/m/t/1527021

Hello,

I think it must be the broker to provide you with the API for the submission of market orders.

If the broker use Java or .NET API you can look at J/Link or .Net/Link

If instead the broker only provide the DDE / Excel then you can use Excel-Link but be careful because I have not yet figured out if the product is fully compatible with Excel 64bit.
