Avoid images imported in MMA to look very different from Photoshop ones?

Posted 5 years ago

Hello, I imported photographies from .tif files produced with Photoshop and they look very different. I also checked the RGB values in some pixels and the Mathematica ones obtained through ImageData are different from the ones given by Photoshop color picker.

The same happens also with .jpg version of the same image.

I then built a test 2x2 image in Photoshop with some values, I saved this as .tif and I opened in Mathematica: in this case all works well. What am I missing?

To clarify I post a notebook with the two cases
