Posted 4 years ago

Hello, I am French.

I have a trial version of Mathematica 12 and I would like to run a program found on Wikipedia and written in Mathematica 11.O (the program is here : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bremsstrahlung.gif . It doesn't work.

Can you help me please ?

Sincerely yours,

Armen SARIAN

Hello and thank you Mike Besso and Rohit Namjoshi.

Thank you a lot for all this time.

I am new with Mathematica.

You told me : "What exactly do you mean by "It doesn't work"?". I can't see the movie. This is a screen print : https://www.cjoint.com/c/JGidex3cCXH .

It is written "running". Can you help me please ?

Thank you.

Hi Armen,

Correct link.

I tried the code unchanged on 12.1.1 for Mac OS X x86 (64-bit) (June 19, 2020). Some underflow / loss of precision errors were reported but it ran and generated the animation. Took about 75 minutes to complete.

What exactly do you mean by "It doesn't work"?

Armen: I remember reading that there a few, not many, changes that broke things. I went to take a look at your file, but the link you provided did not work for me.

If you want to research what changes were made, you might be able to figure this out for yourself. Check out what changed starting here.
