Code in python (IDE-style) on a WolframCloud notebook?

Posted 4 years ago

I enter normal python program into the gray coding box found in the drop-down menu, but the complier process it differently than what it should. Is there a way to change this and make it compatible with python code?

I see, I am practicing python for college and was wondering if I could use it as an evaluator for some algorithms; since I already use WolframCloud as my ‘notebooks’ for my classes. I wanted to do this to sort of centralize my schoolwork, but I might just use Notepad, LOL. So far, there’s not much I have done that I can’t do on Wolfram, I just happen to be enrolled for learning python specifically. Thanks, Jan

Evaluating Python code is not supported in the Wolfram Cloud, mainly due to security reasons.

It is possible to enable ExternalEvaluate & co. in an Enterprise Private Cloud, where you have direct control over your cloud's configuration.

Is there anything you think you can only do in Python, that you couldn't do in the Wolfram Language?
