Blank graph when plotting a function?

Hi, I'm pretty new to Mathematica and have been trying to graph a function for an assignment. However, whenever I try to execute the code I just get a blank graph with axes and nothing else. enter image description here

I'm probably just making a newbie mistake, but I've spent fair bit of time trying to work it out with no success. Also I've got no idea where that long number to the right of the graph has come from so some advice on why that's there and how to remove it would be fantastic. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The rules explain how to format your code properly. Images don't help other members to copy your code. Please EDIT your post and make sure code blocks start on a new paragraph and look framed and colored like this.

int = Integrate[1/(x^3 - 1), x];
Map[Framed, int, Infinity]

Please post code that can be copied/pasted, not images.

AxesLabel has x for the x axis label what is the value of x? Should it be "x"? The k subscript theta does not look right.

Try to work with smaller expressions and test them before trying Manipulate.

func[k_, t_] := ...

func[-30, 0]
func[30, 16]

Plot[func[k, 8], {k, -30, 30}]
Plot[func[-5, t], {t, 0, 16}]
