Memory exceeded?

Posted 10 years ago

I started out fairly excited about the Wolfram Programming Cloud. After reading the options for various packages, I followed the multiple suggestions to try the free version and see what my needs were based on how that worked with storage, cloud credits, etc. Then, having watched the four minute intro video, I went to "Wolfram Programming Cloud: Things to Try" notebook. I got halfway through that (having done absolutely nothing else) and got a message stating that I'd "exceeded the memory for this session" followed by "kernel shutting down." That's certainly neither encouraging nor helpful in terms of evaluating the usefulness of the Wolfram Programming Cloud. Since a question is preferred here, mine is: what gives?

It might have been an intermittent issue. Just open a new notebook. Notice that the Wolfram Cloud is still a beta product, it says that at the top.
