Mathematica 10 on openSUSE 13.1: Some special characters not displaying

Hello, I have Mathematica 10 running on openSUSE 13.1. The problem is that the front end does not display some special characters like the greek "pi" or square brackets. Changing the font or the character encoding does not help. Is this a bug of the Linux version of Mathematica 10? With Mathematica 9 I did not have this problem.

Regards, Ralph Trenkler

I have to add: I deleted ~/.config/Trolltech.conf too. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much! I changed "antialiasing" from default to "Enabled" in the KDE System settings and now it works!

Try

rm ~/.config/Trolltech.conf

I had a similar issue on Debian "Jessie" with KDE. I resolved my issue by changing the antialiasing from the default to either "Enabled" or "Disabled". In addition, I installed the ttf fonts into the Font Manager.

I am not sure which if these fixed the issue, but I do know that my fonts are now working!
