A co-worker suggested,
Entity objects make online calls to WolframAlpha so they can be affected
by usage of the WA servers. I would try changing the Option value
TimeConstraint with
SetOptions[WolframAlpha, TimeConstraint ->60];
to give the WA calls more time.
