The Solve function and its relatives are primarily for algebraic equations. Your equations will probably require numerical solution with, for example, FindRoot. Numerical solutions will assume that all parameters have been given number values.
If you hope others will try to work with your equations, it is important to attach a notebook file (.nb) with them.
