Message bar is hard to read in dark mode

In Mathematica 14.3, when switching to dark mode, the font color in the bottom message bar inverts from dark gray to almost white, making it difficult to read. Is there a way to protect the font color on the bottom bar or set the font color? Screenshots: enter image description here enter image description here

I sense you're looking for more granular Notebook controls but I'd recommend changing your system theme in Windows. It'd make for a nicer user experience, in my opinion.
