polar contour plot

Posted 9 years ago

Hello, I want to know if it is possible to make a Polar Contour Plot in mathematica. ContourPlot in mahtematica plots in Cartesian coordinates only. I can manage to plot in Polar by Contour Plot by making substitutions for theta and r in terms of x and y ,but if there is some thing like PolarContourPlot then tasks will be easier.

thanks,

Polar contour plots do not appear to be an option in Mathematica. You must evidently convert to Cartesian coordinate. Alternatively, you might do a series of polar plots, putting in the contour parameters by hand.
