How to find symmetries in a picture?

Hi,community! Are in Wolfram any options/functions to find symmetries in a graphik (for example, see attached file - it consists from about 280 000 points - decisions of an equation - it's easy to see a repeated structures inside this picture)? It's possible to make a program, but, maybe exist a function inside Wolfram?

First I would plot the data without an axis (Axis -> False) and without frame (Frame -> False).

I would turn the plot into an image (Rasterize). Then use (2D)autocorrelation (ListCorrelate and ImageData) and check for 'spikes'. This gives you the dimensions of the pattern...
