The way that Mathematica solves an equation looks nothing at all like what a human would do and doesn't have any educational value for most people.

Wolfram|Alpha however can provide step-by-step solutions. You can use Wolfram|Alpha through your web browser, through your phone or tablet, or through Mathematica. Step-by-step solutions are a Wolfram|Alpha Pro feature, but you shoul dbe able to use them in Mathematica.

An example of how to use it:

type "==" and then "Solve y'[x]==Sin[x]". This is how you do a Wolfram|Alpha query in Mathematica. You will then see a button next to the solution that says "Show steps".
