I do understand that this is way beyond the capabilities of a beginner. That is why I ask for help :-)
What I am trying to do in more detail:
read the book and articles.
find which words appear usually one after the other, to determine the various terms.
read the various equations to find more terms and their relationships.
using the above and NLP, construct one semantic network for the book and one semantic network of the articles, where we have the terms as nodes and the pathways represent an equation or a Logical connective.
compare the two semantic networks to see if the variables and terms connect or could connect the same way. In essence a Truth function.
output the two semantic networks with say, green pathways for those that are essentially the same in the two, red pathways with those that they differ completely and yellow pathways for the irrelevant terms and variables.
If I the semantic network of the book is all red it means that what it says in the book is total crap. If there a lot of red pathways it means that the book has a lot of mistakes. If its all green and yellow then I must feed the program more articles with those terms for further comparison.
I tried to put the links to Wikipedia for "logical connective" and "truth function" but it messes up the reply preview so i didn't put them.
