PackageData.net now online!

Posted 10 years ago

PackageData.net launched today. It aims to make it easier to share and find packages, so please check it out and add your packages or packages that you know of.

Update 24/10/2015: The site has improved greatly since its first release and if you haven't checked it out recently you should do so now. All contributions are welcome!

Update 4/7/2016: The site now received a great face lift. Since it launched last year it has become quite a formidable collection of packages! If you know of a package that's not in the list yet, now's a great time to add it. Or visit the site just to test the new search function.

Thank you for creating it, Mathematica really needed a package repository like this to be able to compete with the likes of http://pkg.julialang.org/, CRAN, MATLAB file exchange, etc. The Wolfram Library Archive was too cumbersome to submit to or update packages on, and contains too many entries that do not have any available code, or long outdated entries.

I'm hoping that PackageData[] will give a boost to the Mathematica package ecosystem by helping people discover and contribute to each others projects.
