How to simulate a beam fixed on both side with central force ?

Posted 10 years ago

Hi everyone,

I would like to simulate the deformation of a beam which is fixed on both ends and has a central force applied to it. I have been inspired by this Mathematica example:

http://www.wolfram.com/mathematica/new-in-10/pdes-and-finite-elements/compute-a-plane-strain-deformation.html

enter image description here

I have understood the plane stress operator that is defiined in the beginning. If you want to have a look, how it is constructed I included a PDF where I try to explain that. Now, I would like to change my boundary conditions so to have a central load and to fixed ends. How would you do that?

Thank you very much!

okay thank you. The code can be found when you follow the link.

Please be careful selecting new groups, do not select unrelated groups.

Please paste real Wolfram Language code instead of images and show what you have tried.
