Mathematica 10.3 : CUDA OK but OpenCL NOK

Posted 9 years ago

I have Windows 10 64bit with Mathematica 10.3. My laptop Dell 17R SE 7720 contains nVIDIA GeForce GT650M with 3D capabilites.

My file (attached) that uses CUDA and OpenCL worked perfectly in Mathematica 10.1 in Windows 10. But in the latest version 10.3 OpenCLQ[] returns False.

I use CUDAResources-Win64-10.0.0.1.paclet from http://www.wolfram.com/CUDA/CUDAResources.html

Because the version that was downloaded automatically by Mathematica was version 8 !! It promised to be a newer version as the downloaded paclet had version 10.2, but in the end the installed version was 8.

Anyone else having trouble with OpenCL and version 10.3?

Today I got an answer on my email to support@wolfram.com saying there was no issue on the machine of the support engineer.

So I again let Mathematica install the CUDA paclet. The download was extremely slow. But in the end version 10.2.0.3 was installed. And now both CUDA and OpenCL work perfectly. So the Wolfram engineers solved both of my issues!
