Has anyone implemented speech recognition in mathematica?

I have an immediate need for speech recognition from within Mathematica. As part of a user interface,
I would like to classify input to one of a small set of possibilities (e.g. ten individual words).
We think we can program an extension, but wonder if it already exists.
We are in a Mac OS environment.

My problem is much simpler, and that discussion has had no traffic in six months, so lets stay here if thats ok.
