Cannot get plots to display

We have just purchased Mathematica 10 Student Edition. When we try to plot something all we get is
Out[1]: -Graphics-

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Try the following.

Plot[Sin[x],{x,-2Pi,2Pi}]
