Exporting a matrix into Excel?

I have a matrix in Mathematica that Is 960 x 686. I want to put this matrix into Excel in a way that the values are is in fact 960 x 686, so that I can find the center row of values or pixels in this case. Does anyone have any pointers into how to make this conversion? Right now when I try to move the values into Excel I get a matrix that is kinda 6 x 103853, but seems to be more a list form. If anyone has any suggestion please let me know. Thank you.

How are you doing this now? Can you show us some simplified code?
