Import from excel, Plotting and operation with columns

I have just got mathematica but I am kind of table and cell person. That’s why I like excel. But I am giving a try to mathematica. So I have a file in excel I Import the file But I just want to plot certain column and certain row to plot and would like to view in table form in mathematica. How do I do it? Plus I would like to do some operations with the columns in mathematica. Appreciate your help

Hi Dodji,

The imported data comes in structured in Lists. A good thing to do is to read about lists under the lists section of the help system under core language, and the tutorials and guides in list, array, and data manipulations. As a quick look, I’ve attached a notebook and spreadsheet.
