Passing Wolfram language to other teams?

I’m coding curious but not literate in any language that isn’t GUI Object, like Grasshopper.

I’m good at logic, abstraction, and problem decomposition.

I’ve never built a piece of software, but I have a cool idea.

My question is this: If I get s Tweakbox tarted learning Wolfram and build a prototype, is the language widely adopted enough that I can reliably pass my work on to a distributed team of professionals?
