User Portlet

I have a PhD in algebraic topology from USC in 1971. I worked in the field of algebraic K-theory for 20 years and since 2004 I have been working in the field of numerical algebraic geometry. I am retired from Northeastern Illinois University and teach part time at Oakton Community College.

I am presently involved in a long term project of exploring the subject of real algebraic curves and surfaces from a numerical point of view using mainly Mathematica. Check my website at neiu for more information, or download the most recent version of my software from www.oakton.edu/~barryd
