Ben Jacobsohn is a two-time Wolfram Summer School alumnus trying to push the capabilities of Wolfram's New Kind of Science. After researching incremental changes in cellular automata and confluence in multiway cellular automata, he wants to use these and other simple systems for practical purposes. He believes that rule-based systems could perform adaptive computations and eventually produce emergent intelligence. Ben's hobbies include tinkering with electronics and 3D printing, reading both fiction and nonfiction, and playing the jazz saxophone. He also competes in the game Super Smash Bros. Melee, and enjoys other games including Chess and Go. Ben likes to dream big and hopes to continue looking at problems from unique angles to find novel and compelling results.
