ABOUT ME:

I'm a professor of mathematics at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have special interests in the teaching of differential equations and complex analysis. In addition, I hope to develop courses to help our students pass the actuarial exams in probability and financial mathematics.

To give me flexibility in my teaching, including doing flipped classrooms, I am working on videotaping many of my lectures and posting them on my YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/user/billkinneymath. I use Mathematica in most of my classes in most lectures, and have also developed video resources on using Mathematica.

One of my other goals is to get into electronic publishing in Mathematica. Currently I am working on a project developing Mathematica supplements to the 4th Edition of the Differential Equations textbook by Blanchard, Devaney, and Hall. I teach both Mathematica fundamentals and mathematics in these supplements. I am interested in finding the best platform for making these supplements available to the wider public. Please contact me if you have advice about this.
