ABOUT ME:

I acquired my PhD at division of Experimental Medicine at McGill University in 2001. I have research experience in Viruses, Cancer, as well as Developmental Biology. A few basic observations puzzled me:

1 There will always be some kind of resistant mutations appeared toward any drug, designed for infectious diseases or cancer, due to accumulation of mutations that escape the target molecules or signaling pathways.

2 How a fixed number (?) of variable domain genes will produce effective antibodies against almost limitless combinations of antigens?

3 Gene-editing targets specific bases of specific genes. How this man-made mutations will survive the system selection is unknown.

4 Crystal structures of molecules are used for explaining of any molecular recognitions. Is this default thinking model reflects real biological processes at the molecular level?

Now I’m learning mathematics and coding. I want to build a few study models:

1 mimicking virus-host interaction,

2 what is the information packaging strategy used in antibody genes,

3 gene mutation-host interaction,

4 antigen-antibody recognition in a “real” BIOlogical process.
