I am a retired from Northeastern Illinois University where I was Professor of Mathematics. My PhD was in algebraic topology although I worked largely in algebraic geometry. Lately I specifically have worked in numerical algebraic geometry. I am the author of the book "A Numerical Approach to Real Algebraic Curves with the Wolfram Language" (better known as "Plane Curve Book") published by Wolfram Media in 2018. I have recently posted two other books to my website https://barryhdayton.space -- the "Space Curve Book" and the "Surface Story".
