Hello, I was trying to solve a system of equations, however it seems that depending on whether I use x or x_1 the results differ. Which result can I trust and why does it make a difference in the frist place? I hope you can enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

You can't use underscores in variable names -- they are reserved for pattern Matching.
