Looking for a notebook/project that generates a palette whose content UI is driven from structured data from a local hard-drive. Can reading from an external text file be done within a palette and used to populate menus, pop-up menus, and tab-bars? More concretely...a palette's popup menu whose menu items are populated by parsing data from a text file upon loading the palette; same for a tab-bar. I don't want data embedded in the palette. I rather not reinvent the wheel if someone has already figured out how to do it. Thanks.
