Why doesn't CloudConnect work on the Raspberry Pi?

Posted 11 years ago

Hi all,

I'm working on a connected devices application using the Wolfram Language on the Raspberry Pi at the Wolfram Summer School. I am just testing to see if I can connect to the cloud using my Raspberry Pi, but it is failing for some reason. I am running the exact same notebook on my MacBook and then on the Raspberry Pi, but the outcomes are different. Notice that the WolframAlpha call doesn't fail, so the internet connection isn't the reason for problem. I suspect it may be a bug or incompatibility that hasn't been addressed yet on the Linux ARM version of Mathematica 10. Can anyone in the community shed some light on this?

Please see the attached images for details.

The build of the Wolfram Language you are using (from November 19, 2013) does not have cloud functionality that is compatible with the current Wolfram Cloud. There will be an updated version of the Wolfram Language for the Raspberry Pi in the next month.

Brady,

See: http://blog.wolfram.com/2014/08/01/wolfram-language-and-mathematica-updated-for-the-raspberry-pi/

This now works (after updating according to the instructions in this post):
