Mathematica on Microsoft Surface 3

Posted 10 years ago

Hi,

I don't know if I'm in the right thread, please redirect me if im wrong. I'm running Wolfram Mathematica on my Notebook, but I'm planning to work on a Microsoft Surface 3 (4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, processor: Intel Atom Quad Core x7-Z8700l). Therre won't be very complicatet simulations (at least I hope so, I need it just for school ^^). Does anyone have experience with Mathematica on a Surface? Does it run properly or ist the processor too weak?

Thanks for your answers!

Marc

P.S: exuse my English, its obviosly not my native language :)

My Surface 3 (not pro) has the same configuration as yours. I do not have any issue to run Wolfram Language on the device. I can do parallel kernel, 3D plots and calling .NET framework from the Mathematica. In general, the performance should be ok. If I need more power, then I just use the remote desktop to link to a workstation in my office.
