Thanks for the references. The afterward to Lakoff and Johnson's book contains a short discussion of a new viewpoint: a Neural Theory of Language. There are some references that are a bit old in such a rapidly evolving field, but I will check them...
Thanks. I have a great nephew who is interested in learning to code. I sent the code to his *parents* so that they can see what can be done with very little work. I think that almost all the commands are covered in Stephen's book, which is where I...
I would like this option as well. I don't use facebook, and I use Twitter of necessity and want it to know as little as possible about what I do. The wolfram ID has evolved quite a bit since it was introduced in 2003(?).

I know about the time constraints for the project. A remarkable job. My choice of text was random -- just from the bookshelf next to my desk, and of course, being a translation, it will be harder to identify the date of writing. Thanks for pointing...
sorry to get off topic. My point is that using MIDI as a way to characterize music is a bad model, and is likely to lead to wrong conclusions. Not to say that algorithmic analysis is hopeless. Someone wrote a program that generated chorales in the...
