Change cursor color to use with a dark stylesheet?

Version 14.3 (released yesterday) now has full native dark mode. This means that the app itself (the windows, dialogs, notebooks, palettes, etc.) all support dark mode throughout.

For more information, see the 14.3 release blog.

If anyone is looking for an answer, there are two different types of cursors used in the input cell. The one I was having the most problems with was the cursor that appears between characters. I discovered its color is set in the stylesheet under:

"Styles for Mathematica System-specific Elements" -> "Format Type Styles" -> "CellLabel"

I think the size is dependent on the size of the font.

Hi Marco, thanks for the reply.

Actually, I did see that stackexchange article before posting here and also: https://mathematica.stackexchange.com/questions/1631/

Unfortunately, I found both confusing and was hoping for either a stylesheet or option inspector solution that was fairly easy to implement. I guess the alternative is not to use black or dark gray as a background and figure out something to get more contrast.

Dear Stephan,

you might find this article on StackExchange interesting.

Cheers,
