Dates in Community Forum

Posted 3 years ago

The dates in forum posts are displayed as "3 days ago", "9 months ago" and the like. This is not practical, because therefore you can not refer to a specific post. Normally one would write: "See my post from 28.02.2021". But this is useless if the date is not shown with the posts.

I suggest that instead of relative dates, you now give the actual publication date and time (in GMT).

I have not found a way to set the dates in the forums themselves.

Probably here is not the right place for such requests. Where should I put them?

One of the peculiarities of this forum, oh well.

My workaround has been linking to the referenced post. Finding the link of a post not a thread is also tricky.

Yes of course one can do that. But only from within some active document which honors hyperlinks. But not in any printed text or verbal communication.

Good point. (...) Anyway, I'm on your side.

While we're at it, i'd like to also see a post counter. I'm curious what Raspi's post count is, after stagnating at the novato level for years, hehe.

@Werner Geiger, thank you for your feedback. We will pass it to our team for consideration.
