collecting game data has always been an idea I've tried to consider. Interestingly, I first became aware of the concept from the video game series Left4Dead which supposedly gauges how the players are performing and will create events of difficulty (or lack of if needed) by selectively inserting enemies at certain points. Minesweeper exists in many variants but I am not aware of one which would play against the user.
I had a go at cloud deployment but it was unsuccessful - there may be incompatible functions or I may not be trying hard enough. Either way, its still an avenue for investigation.
