According to one of the authors of the paper, the development tools used in the analysis were Caffe by Berkeley AI Research and Google's TensorFlow, with Python.

I'm interested in this as well. The problem with the Demonstrations project is the limit on the screen real estate available. I have come across this limit in non-art related projects.
