Good to know that these notebooks can be found in the Notebook Archive. Unfortunately, it is impossible to retrieve the same notebook again using the Notebook Archive search.

If I search for the title "An Overview of Number Theory" or author name "Lusine Sukiasyan" nothing will show in Notebook Archive. Also the notebook does not show up if you filter on the category i.e. "Essays, Posts & Presentations" even if you filter down to the most recent notebooks.

Hello, everyone!

In my presentation I will talk about how I developed MaXrd, a package for crystallography and research in materials science. During my years at the university, MaXrd grew from a hobby project to a more generalised tool, and it was crucial in my Master's and PhD studies.

Part 1 of the talk will concern technical details of how the package has been structured and developed over time, and what I have learned from a programming perspective. In part 2 we will see examples of its functionality, and I will demonstrate how it has been a companion in my research.

I am excited to present my talk “Understand Time, Date and Calendars” this coming Wednesday, March 8th (that is, if you're using the Gregorian calendar anyway)!

I will be giving an overview of the different concepts of time, dates, and calendars, as well as how each of these can be represented and used in the Wolfram Language. I'll be covering topics such as how different notions of time impact everything from how long a month is, how we determine what time it actually is, all the way up through their effect on arithmetic with dates and time.

I will be discussing “Everything to know about Mellin-Barnes Integrals - Part 1” this Wednesday! I work with MB integrals from 1971 when found nice book of L.J.Slater, which explained structure of hypergeometric type functions, including MeijerG & FoxH functions. I will try to teach people do not afraid them, because these "monsters" accumulate majority of named mathematical functions and those who can know them will look at other functions as at particular cases. I together with co-authors published 12 (or 11) books in this area, including 5 large volumes of "Integrals and Series". At first part of talk I will describe MB integrals and show how to convert functions into them (if it is possible), how to evaluate them and how to build conditions of their existence and evaluation.

Oliver Ruebenkoenig will be giving an overview of PDE modeling capabilities based on the Finite Element Method implemented in the differential equation solver NDSolve. Attending this presentation will give you an overview of where to find information on the various steps when doing a finite element analysis. He will cover geometry generation, mesh generation, PDE model and boundary condition setup and solving the PDEs. Back in the mid-aughts, Wolfram Research released Mathematica 6 to the world, with support for Dynamic and related technologies. This allowed Wolfram Notebook users to easily construct interactive content, including sophisticated user interfaces, with deep computational roots.

As we gained experience with this tech, it became clear that certain approaches produced GUIs that were more responsive and maintainable than others. A collection of best practices formed. Over time, those crystallized into a set of high level Principles of Dynamic Interfaces for Mathematica and related products.

This Wednesday (January 11), I'm honored to be giving the first Wolfram R&D live stream of 2023, in which we'll examine these principles. Please join us as we highlight some essential concepts and key techniques that should be in every Wolfram Language developer's interface toolkit.

On Wednesday the 14th, I am going to present “Wolfram Resource System: Repositories & Archives”. I will describe the system that contains our growing list of repositories like the Function Repository, Data Repository and Neural Net Repository with a focus on the newest, the Paclet Repository.

I'll demonstrate how to use, create and contribute content for these repositories and including a walk-through example of creating a new paclet for publication in the paclet repository.

“Inner Workings of ImageStitch: Image Registration, Projection and Blending"!

I will be showing all the steps needed to merge photos of a scene or panorama into a single coherent image. We will discuss the subtleties of image registration, form a graph of images connected via projective transformations, derive a projection onto a common canvas, and eventually blend all the image parts into a large panorama. It's an entertaining tour through many domains of image processing.

Hello!

I am looking forward to tomorrow's livestream, in which I'll talk about xAct, a framework for efficient tensor computer algebra in Wolfram Language.

xAct is a growing collection of packages, already 23 of them, with a mature and stable core after 20 years and more than 800 publications using it.

After presenting the general framework and available resources, I'll describe how to perform abstract computations and component computations with tensors. I'll then show a variety of examples of computation with some of the packages. At the end of the livestream I'll address frequent questions, and questions you may pose here in this thread or during the livestream itself.

Generative AI is having a big moment now, is stable diffusion or other recent controllable image generation techniques coming into the NetTrain framework in 13.X?

Export to onnx is nice, but I'd love to some distillation, quantization, sparsification and other compression tools!

GTPack is a Mathematica group theory package designed for applications in condensed matter theory. It was primarily developed to support the teaching of group theory, as demonstrated, for example, in our book Group Theory in Solid State Physics and Photonics: Problem Solving with Mathematica. However, it has also become a relevant tool in active research. I am looking forward to giving a brief introduction into GTPack as well as multiple examples.

  • Is there an R&D session for Computational Geometry? Also would be nice to have something for PDE solvers and ongoing developments and future directions for Finite Elements.

We've heard your requests, in the coming weeks we will have livestreams on Computational Geometry and PDE's. Stay tuned!

  • Can Mathematica solve Poisson equation or other PDE equations with say derivative order greater than 2?

We recommend that you look at the following pages: PDEComponent and NDSolve (NDSolve can solve the Poisson equation as well as systems of PDEs so in principle it can handle the types of PDEs mentioned by you, but please feel free to bring up this question again during the session on PDEs).
